He’s Here!!

I would like to introduce to you all my baby boy!! He’s been with us now for almost 4 weeks and I can hardly believe it, everyday just flies by and I had forgotten what a whirlwind life is at first with a newborn! For those of you waiting on emails etc. from me I will be getting back to you soon…. it just seems I hardly have time to even get on the computer these days. Aubrey is being a such wonderful big sister, we are so proud of her and feel so incredibly blessed. I am in complete and utter awe of them both.

I guess I am no longer going in order of posts that I share since I am so far behind…… I’ll just randomly pick which ones I feel like sharing when I find the time to blog. Here is baby Jacoby (so cute!) and his older sister Avery who I had the pleasure of meeting a couple of months ago! These are a few of my favorites from their session….

One of my all time favorites….I love this image! While Jacoby was eating we decided to go outside a play a little….I love when opportunities like this come up and I can be one on one with a child who is comfotable with us doing so…..I feel like I am able to connect with them better probably because I can be silly without feeling like a fool in front of the parents! She was such a sweet heart she was even protecting me from the bees and telling me not to be scared! It was adorable…I could have hung out with her all day. Oh, and isn’t her hair gorgeous?!?! Love it!

This little guy was so sweet, I really enjoyed his session. Paige had both her mother and mother in law there to help and they were a huge help. It was a beautiful day and he did a super job sleeping for me! I love his name too….it’s been on my boy list for a while now!

Every session there is usually one or two images that I love the instant I take them and find myself looking back at it multiple times on my camera before I even get home. This was that image, it’s one of my all time favorite mom/baby shots.

Where I’ve been….{Rochester, MN Photographer}

Hello my wonderful blog readers….I finally mustered up the energy to come to the computer and write a blog post expaining what’s going on….I’ve got good and bad news. The good news is that our family is expecting our 2nd baby!! Which is very exciting, but at the moment it is so hard to be excited because for the past couple of weeks I have become very sick with what is commonly referred to as morning sickness…..I have no idea who came up with that term though… as in my case it is all day all night every waking moment sickness. It was the same way with my daughter Aubrey, vomiting every half hour until Zofran (anti-nausea med) comes to my rescue….it stops the vomiting for the most part but the nausea this time around has been pretty dibilitating and I have barely left my bed….let alone looked at my computer screen. It’s been torture watching this gorgeous weather slip by….especially during the busiest season of the year.

So I wanted to write this to explain to everyone why their orders are taking longer than usual, why those of you waiting for your galleries have had to be super patient with me and I REALLY appreciate that!! Trust that I am doing everything I can to improve this situation and when I feel up to it will be getting to all the editing in the order that it was shot. As far as my upcoming shoots in October, I plan to still try and keep those as scheduled and will contact you each individually if anything needs to change.

All of the messages of support and advice and congratulations really mean a lot to me and I appreciate them all so much.

I have a long list of sessions that I want to blog….but thought with the baby news and all I would share a very special baby girl Anika. She was born prematurely at only 29 weeks. I was so honored to come and photograph her in the NICU. This was a new experience for me and one that I will never forget. To see such a tiny little miracle be so strong was so inspiring. I have to be mindful of what I complain about and remember that all that matters is a healthy baby at the end of this long challenging road. Anika is thriving and doing well and will get to go home to Mankato soon!! Watching her grow on their personal blog has been nothing short of a miracle….it is so great to see her now having grown from 2lbs. when I met her to now over 5lbs.! I’m so happy for her family that she will be in her own home soon.

I also want to give a big thank you to Catherine from Bliss Photography here in Rochester who borrowed me her macro lens for this session, that was so incredibly kind of her, thank you again Catherine!!

Baby Arionna {Minneapolis Newborn Photographer}

I went up to the cities to photograph this precious little girl. She was overdue by a week or more if I remember correctly. She reminded me a bit of my little girl as a newborn. Isn’t she pretty?

I just love the way her announcement turned out!

I hope you had a geat first mother’s day Emily!!

Now on to a beautiful newborn…..her mama has been so awesome about sending me referrals, and spreading my name out there when I was first starting. I can’t thank you enough for that Jenn! Congratulations on the sweet addition to your family.

I had to add this one in honor of the BIG game today! I’m typically not a football fan, but the enthusiasm my husband and brother-in-law have over this is contagious. The happiness they would feel over the Vikings making it to the super bowl makes me REALLY hope that they win….I gotta feelin tonight’s going to be a good night! Go Vikings!!
