Luke {MN HS Senior Photographer}

Luke was the first male senior client of mine and I was a little bit nervous…. I had lots of experience with shooting senior girls but wasn’t sure how exactly the vibe would be shooting a guy this age…not sure if he would think it was a drag or if he’d be into it etc. Well Luke was awesome, he was so easy and fun to work with and I think he even had fun during our shoot

He had some great ideas and showed me the coolest spot under a bridge in a creek…..it was a great shoot, I love working with this age group. Here are some of my favorites……

Thanks for looking, have a great weekend….sounds like we are finally going to get some snow tonight!! I’m excited to shoot in it tomorrow….hopefully it will be snowing I think that is so pretty!

Sloan {Senior Photographer, Rochester MN}

Sloan is a senior from Mabel MN, I’m so glad she decided to come up to Rochester and have me take her senior portraits! Her session was one of my all time favorites! I just loved everything about it. So I’m sharing a bunch, but I’ve been bad at sharing frequently so I might as well share more when I do!

Things are crazy busy around here these days….I am now booked through October….besides the mini sessions there are still openings for those (see post below)….but I won’t be taking any additional full sessions in October.

Linsy {Rochester High School Senior Photographer}

Linsy is a 2011 Senior from Mayo High School. We started her session literally shooting in the rain, and then thankfully it turned into a gorgeous evening! She totally rocked in front of the camera! I had a really hard time picking which ones to share, I wanted to show them all. It was raining during this first picture, and if you look closely in the stop light you can see her mom and sister standing there with umbrellas

Molly {Rochester, MN Senior Portrait Photographer}

Molly is the urban b photography senior rep from John Marshall High School for the class of 2011. I thought it would be fun to try some different locations and go up to the cities for her shoot. We lucked out and the rain stopped just long enough that day for us to do her photos! I had a hard time narrowing down which ones to share, but here are some of my favorites…..

Amy 2010 Senior {High School Senior Photographer Rochester, MN}

We were able to do Amy’s entire shoot on the beautiful property in and around her home. She lives in a beautiful spot, just outside of Winona, in a private area surrounded by family. So we cruised around in the golf cart to all the cool spots on their property, their neighbor’s and grandma’s. It was really fun.

Emily 2010 Senior {Winona Senior Photographer}

My last couple of seniors for the season were from Winona. I’m a little sad that I’m done with seniors for this year, but am looking forward to next year. I really enjoy working with seniors and hope to do many more next summer/fall. So if you happen to know of any 2011 graduates that would like my style of photography please send them my way! Kristen and her mom asked for a sneak peek on the blog….so here it is girls! I really love Kristen’s session. I am not a traditional photographer, and truly enjoy shooting urban style images. She is such a natural beauty and was up for letting me try a few fun new ideas I had. There was no warming up for this, our first location was the middle of broadway with cars honking and police telling us to hurry up! Kristen totally kept her cool and looked fantastic out there!!

Throughout our shoot it was very cloudy and windy, but when we stopped at our last location the sun started to peek out from behind the clouds and gave me the best light of the night. I love every picture we took here, the light brings out the colors in her eyes which just happened to go beautifully with the orange and green. I would love to see this particular image on a large canvas, I think it would be amazing.

I could post many more, but don’t want to ruin the surprise. Maybe after her gallery is up I will post more on the blog…..but there are a couple on the urbanbaby photography facebook page that I didn’t show here. (link to that page at the top of this page). Sneak Peek for Lauren! {Rochester, MN Senior Photographer}

Lauren was so awesome to photograph. She was a natural in front of the camera! Our session started with a minor glitch of a wedding being held at the location we wanted, but we improvised and I was so happy with the results! We had so many different ideas we wanted to try, we were literally shooting until the very last second of daylight!

I normally don’t go this wild on the editing, but really liked it on this particular photo….

I really need to get to sleep, but couldn’t wait to give you this sneak peek Lauren! Your gallery will be ready tomorrow!
