I had the pleasure of meeting Jack last year for his one year photos…in fact…. I think his pictures were my very first post on this blog! Recently Jack became a proud older brother and I was so honored to meet his new little brother. I love having the opportunity to see families grow. Thank you for letting me into your lives during these amazing times, it really does mean a lot to me. Here are some of my favorites….

New Facebook Fan Page {Rochester, MN Photographer}

Hi everyone! Along with this whole switch over to urban b, I needed to make a new facebook fan page which I just published. It can be found here: or by clicking the link along the top of the page. The image I made for the page I’m using until my finished logo is ready. This is from this past weekend when my daughter and I went out location scouting….we had so much fun and I will share more from our outing here soon.

Jaida’s One!! {Children’s Photographer Rochester, MN}

I was so excited to see little Jaida again for her one year pictures. I had the honor of photographing her when she was a newborn, you may recognize her in mom’s arms in the slideshow at the top of the blog. She is just as adorable as I imagined she would be at this age, and so much fun to photograph!

To those of you still checking my blog….God bless you! Thank you for your patience….I know I have been horrible at keeping up with blogging! This time rather than neglecting the blog out of being too busy, it was somewhat intentional. I have been waiting for my business change to take place because I wanted to post all of my recent photos after everything had changed over.

So what’s the big change you ask??? Many of you already know this….. I’m sure my friends and family will be soooo thankful when this is all over because they have listened to me contemplate and go back and forth about this decision for the past year!! {to all of you I thank you for your advice, patience and input}

I have finally made up my mind and am changing my business name from urban baby photography to urban b photography. In my first year in business I have learned so much, and one thing I found out was how much I love photographing high school seniors. When I was first starting out, I had not even really considered photographing that age group….but after the opportunity to photograph some lovely ladies last year I loved it, and now that is one of my favorite ages to capture. I also have been asked many many times {understandably so} if I only photograph babies, and that is no longer what I want to portray to potential clients. I love photographing children of all ages, not only babies.

I was going to wait to announce this until I had all of my new logo and branding ready. However that process is taking longer than expected due to my horrible indecisiveness. This is one trait I wish so badly I could change about myself…..but it is here to stay……so hopefully I will decide on the perfect match for the urban b logo and have it ready to show you all very soon.

In the mean time, all of the web addresses etc. are set up….so in the future to access my websites please use the following:

Valentine’s Day Cards! {Rochester MN Photographer}

Here are the adorable designs for Valentine’s Cards this year. You can get them as 5×7′s or 4×5.5 which would be perfect to handout to daycare, preschool, or school friends. All cards are double sided and come with envelopes. I am running a special on Valentine Cards or Valentine Mini Accordian Albums (see ‘look here” tab at the top for info on those) on my facebook fan page so be sure to check that out!

Isn’t it hard to believe it is already November….but now that it is, it is time to start thinking about the Holidays!! I hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween! My little sweetie dressed up as Minnie Mouse this year and got to go trick or treating with her cousins, which was so much fun!

Just a few updates as far as scheduling and ordering etc. I am now booked through the rest of 2009. If you are interested in being placed on a waiting list in case I should get a cancellation please send me an email. Below are a couple of samples of the Holiday Card designs I am offering this year. There are many more that can be seen along the top of the page under Look Here. You can use any photo taken by me for Holiday Cards, they don’t need to necessarily be from a fall session. All orders that you want to receive by Christmas must be ordered no later than December 1st.

Urbanbaby Photography can now accept credit cards for payment as well. (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, & American Express)

…..for this little guy’s two year photos. He wasn’t too interested in the whole photo shoot thing, but we had fun searching for bugs and eating fruit snacks!

His beautiful older sister joined us as well….and she was much more interested in the camera! She couldn’t wait until it was her turn!

Updates! {Rochester, MN newborn photographer}

First of all I want to thank everyone that stopped into the Gap on Saturday and registered with me for a free session, it was great to meet all of you and take a few photos of your little ones! The gallery from that day is ready earlier than I planned, so I posted it and will keep it up until the 12th. The winner of the free session is Heather, who I already notified by email….woo hoo…congrats Heather!! I also need to send a HUGE thank you to Kristen from the Gap for inviting me to be part of that event on Saturday, I had a lot of fun!!

*I will be out of town this Sunday-Tuesday and will have little to no computer access. My whole family is going to the Wisconsin Dells to celebrate my daughter’s second birthday as well as my niece’s 8th birthday. I will return any emails on Wednesday.

**Also, I am tentatively planning to be in Fargo/Moorhead July 30th- August 2nd. If anyone in that area is interested in setting up a session during that time send me an email.

***Due to legal reasons I wasn’t aware of when creating this business, it looks like I need to come up with a different business name. I’m so sad about this because I really love everything about urban baby photography, and have worked really hard to get it all to this point. So please check back often as I make that announcement since my web address etc. will need to change accordingly. Also, if anyone has any unique/creative names that you think suite my style (and aren’t already used by another photographer) I would love to hear them!!! If I end up using your suggestion I will give you a free sitting fee and $25 print credit!!! This needs to be taken care of asap, so get those creative wheels turning…..I’m sure I won’t sleep tonight!***
