Fun Family Session {Fargo Family Photographer}

I had the pleasure of meeting this family the last time I was back in Fargo. These two little guys are so handsome, they weren’t so sure about the whole picture thing, asking me if we were done after I took the first picture! (which I thought was so cute) But we played a few games and got some great shots…we even ended at the park so it wasn’t so bad…right guys?!? ;) Here are some of my favorites…..

I met Shamra my freshman year at Concordia and we lived together our Sophmore year. She is such an incredible person, she is so funny and absolutely gorgeous inside and out! Her and her husband Ryan have created one of the most stunning families I have ever seen! This lucky photographer got to capture their awesomeness one evening in Minneapolis and it was so much fun! Some of my favorite images ever….check them out…..

Our Sticky Sunday {Rochester, MN Photographer}

I don’t post personal stuff here very often, I don’t even post my professional stuff as often as I should…I have a long list of fun shoots I want to share. I just need more hours in the day! It is easy for things that are not urgent or pressing slip to the wayside, like blogging for example. But I will work on it…and here is my first attempt!

Every year growing up my mom would make strawberry and peach jam….both are so delicious. I don’t think I ever even had store bought jam or jelly until I moved away from Moorhead….so I missed having that here. Last year we went home when the “peaches were in” so we could help with the operation and bring home a bunch for ourselves. This year we weren’t able to make it home so we attempted it on our own and it was a success! I snapped a few pictures along the way…..thought it would be fun for my mom to see these.

It involved lots and lots of peeling…..

Lots of grinding…….

Lots of stirring…….

And in the end we have lots and lots of delicious jam! yumm…

Linsy {Rochester High School Senior Photographer}

Linsy is a 2011 Senior from Mayo High School. We started her session literally shooting in the rain, and then thankfully it turned into a gorgeous evening! She totally rocked in front of the camera! I had a really hard time picking which ones to share, I wanted to show them all. It was raining during this first picture, and if you look closely in the stop light you can see her mom and sister standing there with umbrellas

I love when I have repeat clients and I get to see how much the children have grown and changed. Remember this handsome little man? Well now he has a baby sister, and he is such a good big brother!! It was so fun to see him again and to meet little Vivi.

I love junk! {MN Children’s Photographer}

I was so excited for this session. I have had my eyes on this location for over a year now and when I was discussing our shoot with Kathy, she said how Julian loves trucks and their family loves old things….so I thought this was the perfect time to finally go through the official liability steps etc. to be able to shoot there!! I think it was sooo worth it! I love this location and how it looks in photographs, and more importantly I think Julian and Charolette had a lot of fun there looking at the trucks, machinery and big cranes! These two were so incredibly sweet and smart, I had a great time with them! Oh, and their mom Kathy makes beautiful vintage jewlery too….you can check it out here! I’ve been on a vintage kick lately and have been planning a vintage style shoot of my own family next week and can hardly wait!! Now….on to the beautiful kiddos….I have lots of favorites to share tonight……

Here is sweet little Evan and his best friend “puppy”. I think it is so adorable when children become super attached to one specific stuffed animal or blanket etc. and take it with them everywhere they go. So it was perfect he brought puppy with for his photo shoot since puppy is such a big part of his childhood and will be a very fond memory for him in the future. Adriauna’s Two! {Fargo Children’s Photographer}

It was so fun to see Adriauna and take her 2 year portraits while I was home over the Fargo Marathon weekend. She is such a sweet little girl, one of my favorites from my session is this photo I got at the end while she was running towards me to to give me a hug good-bye.

Greyson {Child Photographer Rochester, MN}

It felt like we had been trying to schedule a session with little Greyson since he was born! At first the timing/scheduling didn’t work out, and then the weather was against us….so when Mother’s Day came around and it was sunny and warm we were finally able to meet! I thought it was a great way to spend the afternoon. To top it off his grandma came along, who is his nanny, so I was able to catch some of their beautiful connection as well. Here they are together in a sweater that she made for him…so cute!!

They chose this one for a 24×30 standout….I love that this is hanging BIG in their home! I was just thinking of posting something about that, and then today I came across this from another photographer friend of mine on facebook, and it explains what I was going to say in a much better way than I could, and even has photos to illustrate!! Please take the time to look it over if you are in the market for photographic prints, either from me or someone else. I’m currently saving up and planning for my big collage and will post pics here when I have it all up!

It was such a pleasure, can’t wait to see you again Greyson!
